Bulk QR code generator: make hundreds of codes you can still change
Paste a list or upload a spreadsheet and get a code for every row. Each one is a redirect you control, so the batch is not finished the day you print it.
TangoQR makes up to 1,000 QR codes at a time from a pasted list of links or a CSV file. You get back a spreadsheet of the codes and a ZIP with an SVG and a PNG for each one. Every code is dynamic: it points at a short link that redirects to your page, so you can change where any of them goes after it is printed, and each one counts its own scans.
It is on the free plan. You need a free account, because the codes have to belong to someone who can come back and change them.
A batch you can change after it is printed
Most bulk generators make static codes. Each image has its destination written into the pattern, the ZIP downloads, and the job is over. That is fine when nothing will ever change. It stops being fine the first time a link moves, a store closes, or a campaign page is replaced, because every one of those codes then needs a new image and a reprint.
A dynamic batch does not have that problem. Each code holds a short link, and the short link decides where the scan goes. Change the destination and the printed code follows, with no new image.
- Change one. Open the code and edit its destination.
- Change many. Select the codes, or upload a CSV of code and new destination, and repoint up to 1,000 in one request. The whole batch can be undone.
See which placement works
A code for every store, shelf, table or box is only useful if you can tell them apart afterwards. Give each row a name and a group in the spreadsheet and the batch arrives already labelled and sorted into folders. Each code then has its own scan total, each folder has its own, and you can export the numbers as a CSV or pull them from the API. What those numbers mean, and what they cannot tell you, is covered in QR code tracking.
One look for the whole batch
A batch shares one design. Copy it from a code you have already styled, or set the colors, frame and logo for the batch. One logo is used on every code. Each code can still be restyled on its own afterwards. Restyling many existing codes in one step is not built.
The limits, stated up front
One request makes up to 1,000 codes. There is also a daily ceiling on rows written across bulk creation and bulk repointing: 1,000 a day on the free plan and 10,000 a day on Pro, with a lower ceiling of 200 in an account's first 24 hours. These exist to stop abuse, not to sell a plan. If you have a real job that needs more, contact us and we will lift it.
There is no limit on how many codes an account holds, on either plan.
What the free plan covers
Everything on this page. What the free plan limits is per code, and only once a code is in use: each code can be repointed, and shows its full scan detail, for its first 50 scans. Past that, changing it or seeing the detail needs Pro, at $10 a month or $100 a year. The code keeps redirecting either way, and its total keeps counting. A code nobody scans stays free and editable for as long as you keep it.
Two things differ on the image itself. A free code carries a small TangoQR wordmark in the corner, and uses square modules. Pro removes the wordmark and adds the other module and eye shapes.
What this is not
It is not a team tool: there are no shared seats. It does not put codes on your own short domain. And it makes links, not Wi-Fi or contact-card codes, because only a link can be repointed. If you need a one-off static code with no account, the free QR code generator does that in your browser.
The spreadsheet columns
| Column | Required | What it does |
|---|---|---|
| destination_url | Yes | Where the code sends a scan. You can change it later |
| name | No | A label for the code, such as Store 12 or Table 4 |
| group | No | The folder to put the code in. A folder that does not exist yet is created |

What you get back
| In the ZIP | What it holds |
|---|---|
| codes.csv | One row per code: name, group, destination, the code's short link, and a link to its SVG and its PNG |
| svg/ | One SVG per code, named to match the spreadsheet. Use these for print |
| png/ | One PNG per code, for screens |

Make a batch, step by step
- Sign in and open your codes. Choose Create many.
- Paste your links, one per line, or upload a CSV with a
destination_urlcolumn. Addnameandgroupcolumns if you want the codes labelled and sorted. - Read the preview. Every row is checked, and a row with a problem is reported by its line number. The good rows still go ahead.
- Choose the look, or copy it from a code you already have.
- Create the batch. It runs in the background and the page shows its progress.
- Download the ZIP. It holds the spreadsheet and both image formats, and stays available for 30 days. The codes themselves stay in your account.
Common questions
- Is the bulk QR code generator free?
-
Yes. Bulk creation, folders, bulk repointing and export are on the free plan, with no limit on how many codes you hold. The free plan's limit is per code: each one can be repointed, and shows full scan detail, for its first 50 scans. A free code's image carries a small TangoQR wordmark. Pro is $10 a month or $100 a year.
- How many QR codes can I make at once?
-
Up to 1,000 in one request. Across a day, bulk creation and bulk repointing together can write 1,000 rows on the free plan and 10,000 on Pro, and 200 in an account's first 24 hours. For a larger job, split the list across requests or contact us.
- Can I change the codes after they are printed?
-
Yes. Every code in a batch is dynamic, so you change where it points without changing the image. Change one from its own page, or up to 1,000 at once by selecting them or uploading a CSV. On the free plan a code can be changed through its first 50 scans; on Pro, always.
- What file do I upload to make QR codes in bulk?
-
A CSV with a header row and a
destination_urlcolumn. Two more columns are optional:namelabels each code andgroupputs it in a folder. If you only have links, paste them one per line and skip the file. A spreadsheet from Excel or Google Sheets works once it is saved as CSV. - Can every code in a batch have a different design?
-
No. A batch shares one look: colors, frame and logo. You can restyle any single code afterwards. If two groups of codes need different designs, make them as two batches.
- Can I make QR codes in bulk through an API?
-
Yes, on every plan.
POST /api/public/v1/codes/batch_createtakes the same rows, answers with a batch to poll, and gives you the same download when it finishes. The developer docs have the request and response. - Do bulk codes stop working if I stop paying?
-
No. Codes keep redirecting on every plan, including after you cancel. What changes on the free plan is that a code past its first 50 scans can no longer be repointed, and its scan detail is hidden, until you upgrade again.
