Scan event

A scan event is a single recorded scan of a dynamic QR code, capturing data like the timestamp, approximate region, and device type.

Each time someone scans a dynamic code, the scan passes through the redirect server, which can log it as a scan event: when it happened, a rough region from the IP address, and the kind of device. Add those up and you get scan counts, geography, device mix, and time-of-day patterns. A static code can't record any of this, because no server sits in the path.

TangoQR records a scan event for every code on every plan, so analytics are retroactive: upgrade later and you see the full history. Total scans show on every plan; the detailed breakdowns are free for each code's first 50 scans.
