Campaign URL

A campaign URL is a destination link built for a specific marketing push, usually tagged with UTM parameters so its traffic can be measured.

A campaign URL points at the landing page for one initiative, like a launch, a sale, or an event, and carries UTM tags so analytics can isolate that campaign's traffic. The catch is that campaigns end. When the landing page is retired, the URL dies, and anything that printed it dies with it.

This is the strongest case for a dynamic code on printed material: encode a redirect, not the campaign URL itself, and repoint it to the next campaign when this one ends. Packaging and signage printed months ago keep working. See QR codes for packaging.
